Review: Written on His Skin

Written on His Skin Written on His Skin by Simone Stark
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars, I really wanted to give it 5 stars.

This would make a really great book! I know that sounds crazy 'cause well it is a book but it feels like there is so much missing. This whole concept of letter writing is just fantastic. It had me hooked from the beginning but these characters go from complete strangers to "Oh My GOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" in a blink of an eye. Maybe three letters are sent total and these aren't long drawn out, let me tell you about my life, letters, but fairly thin, flirty, "how-you-doin'" letters but love grows in mysterious ways I guess. I would have LOVED if there were more letters, more interaction, more time with them getting to know each other. There were never in person interactions in which they weren't having sex. Seriously.

I recommend it cause it's fun and fast but don't expect more than a good porn.

Cons: Dude gets off too much from just innocent letters. Here he is a grown ass man in the middle of a war zone and he's stroking himself left and right when the pink envelope arrives. Also, contemporaries that don't use safe sex are just stupid. They know better. They should know better. I like nothing more than to see sensible, responsible, safe sex.
And lastly, what dog worth it's title of dog doesn't bark at a stranger on the front porch? Darcy really let me down with that.
