Review: An Earl in Wolf's Clothing

An Earl in Wolf's Clothing An Earl in Wolf's Clothing by Emily Windsor
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Although the main characters, Sophie and Bram, are perfect for each other, it's the side characters that make this a fun read. The Irish cousin with her inventive curses, the duke and marquess' wit, even Sophie's parents are loving and personable (which is often not the case in historical romances). The story starts at Sophie and Bram's betrothal announcement ball where she overhears a conversation that makes her question everything. This is a second chance story that is very well done. The characters are likable and their reactions are believable. He has to work hard to win her back. As for the level of heat in this story, it's rather low, not doing the deed until the last pages and even then it's not graphic. As for romance though, this story is very full. This story is very much about the love he has for her and his need to make up for his past mistakes. There is a subplot of espionage and such but it doesn't overshadow the main romance of the story. All in all, an enjoyable read that I would recommend to others.
