Angie and Nik
This is probably the best of this series so far. One was tolerable, two was horrid, but this one wasn't so bad. Maybe it was in comparison so it could only get better? or Maybe Angie wasn't so psycho by herself. What ever the reason, this one was ok. There still feels like so much that hasn't been told, more history and character development would be great. There's talk of a war between Pride and Pack and the truce that is created but we don't see that much hostility between the groups. In fact, it seems most get along well. We also never know the whole story as to why the hyenas want everyone dead. The women (Sara, Miki, and Angie) still feel very immature. Their crazy isn't funny. Nik is great, one of the better characters. Still don't like that all these men think that kind of crazy / mean is sexy fun. Still a lot of sex in a short amount of time. This one is the only believable love story. And the epilogue at the end really doesn't continue the story or bring closure as most epilogues do, it's really a waste of words.
And as a southerner, the vernacular used is just atrocious. Here these tigers are supposed to be super rich, multilingual, suave business men, but we're also suppose to believe their redneck, hillbillies. That doesn't work.
