Facing West by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I'm well into book 4 of this series so am having to stop and back track to write some reviews:
Why it's a little bit unbelievable but still really good: everyone's gay or bi or at least that is how it seems. This series is based out of a small town in Texas and follows the "Wilde" family who have two patriarchs Doc and Grandpa. Doc was married to a woman at one time and had lots of kids with her, when she died, he married Grandpa and they raised up all the kids. This series is not about those kids. It's about the umpteen hundred Grand kids, mostly "Bill and Shelby's" kids (whom you never see because they are in Singapore). They all get along wonderfully (which is also another thing that makes this book a bit unbelievable because who gets along that wonderfully with their siblings?)
So with that being the basis of this series, this particular story is about West (a doctor) and Nico (a tattoo artist). Nico was from the same small town in Texas and went away to California but had to come back to town after his sister died and left him in charge of her newborn baby. West being the babies doctor and the sister's best friend is very invested in the babies life and well being. They interact. Feelings happen. Some crazy plot twist. And then happily ever after.
I would recommend this book, obviously I liked it since I've continued to read the series. It's not my favorite of the series but it's a sweet read with real angst and the struggle / love was believable.
